What's good yall, its Cril of Out Da Box , Happy 2026! 2025 was one super busy year, and an amazing one for Hip Hop, Soul, Reggae, Soca and Calypso . However the time that I invested to update this site as often as possible with New Music Posts and Best of the Month Album/EP release lists did take a way a lot from other things I wanted to achieve. It has been quite a journey since I relaunched this blog site in 2022, and I truly thank the community of fans and supporters

New Album from Soca Superstar “ Machel Montano ” entitled “ Encore ” which was released back on Feb 6th, prior to this year’s Carnival. Machel went on to win his 12th Road March for the self titled track on this album breaking the record for the most road March wins in Trinidad Soca/Calypso history. Congrats to him! 2025 was also my first year keeping track of new Soca and Calypso albums as they released within that year. What I observed is that Soca and Calypso doesn’t produce much Albums or EPs per year as most other genres of music, however Soca certainly produces a lot of new singles. Now Calypso doesn't produce as much new singles as soca but still produces a lot more singles than Calypso Albums. I put together at least three Spotify Playlists (that's where the fun really exp
