September was a pretty interesting month for New Hip Hop Albums/EP releases. I feel like we got a nice variety of dope projects. Some projects I almost missed when compiling this list, but I was able to go back and include more selections. In September we got dope new Projects from Apollo Brown & Planet Asia, Cymarshall Law, Nas & Hitboy, Eloh Kush & Reckonize Real, Mega Ran, Armand Hammer, Wes Felton, Ransom, Nick Grant and much more. My most favorite releases are the top 4 in rank order. Planet Asia sounds so effortless and lyrically astute over Apollo Brown beats as they collaborate for their sequel project "Sardines", while Cymarshall Law's thoughtful rhymes and sharp delivery feels right at home over Slimeline Mutha Beats, The pairing of these two artists work extremely well. Nas & Hitboy deliver once again for their final installment of Magic (What a ride it's been for the two!). Emcee Eloh Kush and Producer Reckonize Real collaborate for a 7 track EP that brings out some of the best lyrics from Kush, thought provoking and raw soulful! Mega Ran even comes through with a unique and uplifiting Children themed album, that further solidifies him as one of the most innovative Emcees in hip hop today. The majority of these Projects are available on traditional digital streaming platforms however just one release is currently exclusively on bandcamp. I noted which project is currently only on bandcamp below.
