The recent month of July 2024 brought forth some really dope new Soul Releases from a variety of talented Soul and Vocal artists. This was an interesting list to compile as there weren't a lot of new soul Projects I was anticipating, most of these Albums/EPs were a suprise in the month of July for me. We got new projects from the always amazing Soul band "Sault", Singer "Darien Brockington", Tank and The Bangas, Jimetta Rose and The Voices of Creation, Cecily, TiRon and Ayomari, Benji, Adrian Marcel, Adia, Remi Wolf and more. We also got a super dope compilation from UK label First Word Records entitled "Love & Purpose (Volume One)" although it consists of previously released songs (so it's not really new) but nevertheless I wasn't familiar with most of these songs and the display works so well together, I felt worthy to include it in this list. My absolute favorite Soul Project on this list however is the new Album from UK band "Sault" entitled "Acts of Faith 0.0", available now for free download and can also currently be streamed via youtube and soundcloud. This Acts of Faith 0.0. project cannot be found on dsps currently, but it is sooo good, It clearly had to be the number 1 pick on this list. Also the dopeness is to be expected with Sault anyway. Their projects are an experience this release just like their others just flows from moment to moment, and you don't even realize when it jumps in to a new song, it just sort of happens. Maybe its because its one full track it gives that effect but nevertheless it still works out well. Next on the list is the new EP from Darien Brockington of Little Brother and Justus League fame, I often enjoyed his vocals on LB tracks, and he delivers for a solo album in that vibe, bringing along Little Brother's Phonte, Rapper Big Pooh, also vocalists BeMyFiasco, Carlitta Durand, Carmen Rogers and other contributors for an EP entitled "Where Love Grows", We also got really dope projects from Tank and the Bangas "The Heart EP", Jimetta Rose & The Voices of Creation's "Things are getting better", Cecily's Awakening Pt. II, The Adventures of TiRon & Ayomari and much more.
